What is the schedule of events on race day?

*If you do not pick up your packet at the expo or on race day, your packet is not guaranteed. Race shirts/awards will not be mailed after the race.
Can I sign up on race day?
Yes, race day sign up will be from 6:00 AM – 8:00 AM on the north side of Ross-Ade Stadium.
What time will the half-marathon and 5K start?
The half-marathon starts at 8:00 AM and the 5K starts at 8:40 AM.
Why is the Kids Fun Run cancelled?
Due to lack of participation in previous years, we have decided to cancel the Kids Fun Run from future events. We apologize for the inconvenience.
May I upgrade or downgrade from the distance I registered for?
Yes. If you would like to upgrade from the 5K event to the half-marathon or downgrade from the half-marathon to the 5K, please contact our Registration Coordinator at Jason@TuxBro.com.
If you downgrade from the half-marathon to the 5K, you will NOT be refunded the price difference for the events. If you are upgrading from the 5K to the half-marathon, you will need to pay the upgrade difference.
May I get a refund for my entry?
Unfortunately no, entry fees are non-refundable.
May I transfer my registration to another person?
You may transfer your entry to next year or to another participant. A transfer fee will be due upon time of the new registration. ($10 through Oct. 20, and $15 during raceweek). If you would like to transfer your entry, e-mail Jason Springer at Jason@TuxBro.com
Can someone else pick up my packet?
Yes, a friend or family member can pickup your packet for you if you give them permission. We do NOT require any proof of permission.
Will there be a gear check?
Yes, Gear Check will be available starting at 6:30 AM on race morning. All gear must be picked up by 12:00 PM race day. We will have a limited number of bags available; it is recommended that you bring your own bag.
Any gear not picked up on race day will be taken to Tuxedo Brothers Headquarters. Any gear not claimed by November 1 will be donated to a local charity.

Are there pace requirements for the event?
An 18 minute (18:00) per mile pace is required for both the half-marathon and the 5K. The half-marathon course will close at 12:00 PM. If you are unable to maintain the 18:00 per mile pace, you will be asked to move to the sidewalk and continue at your own risk, or board the SAG Wagon to be taken back to the finish line area.
Where can I park on race day?
Limited parking will be available at Ross-Ade Stadium. Participants may also park at the Northwestern Avenue Parking Garage, located a 1/2 mile away at 504 Northwestern Ave.
Can I bring my dog?
No, we do not allow participants to bring dogs.
Are strollers allowed?
Strollers are NOT allowed for the half-marathon, but they ARE allowed for the 5k. If you have a stroller, please start towards the back of the 5k pack, to avoid contact with other runners. THIS IS FOR EVERYONE’S SAFETY!
In addition, bicycles or skates are not permitted for either event.
Is there a minimum age requirement for the half-marathon?
You must be at least 10 years old by October 26 to participate in the half-marathon event.

Is there prize money for the top finishers?
Prize money will be awarded to the top 3 male and female overall finishers of the half-marathon.
1st – $200
2nd – $100
3rd – $50
Will there be Age-group awards?
Age-group awards will be given in the following increments to the Top 5 in the half-marathon, and Top 3 in the 5K:
12 and under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and above
Do all finishers receive a medal?
Yes, all finishers in both the half-marathon and 5K will receive a finisher medal.
Will there be an award ceremony?
There will NOT be a formal awards ceremony. Awards will be given out near the Packet Pickup table on the north side of Ross-Ade Stadium. Awards must be picked up by 12:00 PM.

What time zone is West Lafayette?
For those of you traveling to West Lafayette from out of state, Indiana is in the Eastern Time Zone. The Purdue Boilermaker half-marathon will start at 8:00am EDT.
